Use the Layers Frame to select the various layers of the map you wish to view at a given time. Check both Linework and Aerials to see the map linework displayed on top of the aerial. Learn more.

The Navigation Frame is where the tools you will use most often are located. Here you will find tools for zooming, rotating, panning, and printing your maps. Learn more.

The Overview Map provides you with a thumbnail view of the entire map you are viewing. The blue box on the overview map indicates the section of the map you are currently looking at. Click anywhere on the overview map to jump to that location. If you wish to be more precise you may drag the blue box to your desired location. Learn more.

Click on the Help button to see the Help Frame displayed. It will appear in the same postion as the search box, in the center of the screen on top of the map. Here you can send a message to the Sidwell Maps Online help desk, read our Sidwell Maps Online FAQ's, or view tutorials on how to use the service without ever leaving the page.

Click on the Options button to see the Options Frame displayed. It will appear in the same postion as the search box, in the center of the screen on top of the map. Here you can hide or display the various floating windows such as the Navigation Frame or the Layers Frame. You can also control picture settings for the maps and aerials such as contrast, brightness, and quality. Learn more.

Click on the Search button to see the Search Frame displayed. It will appear in the same postion as the search box, in the center of the screen on top of the map. Select a county and then search for your desired map by either its Map Page number, Parcel number, Subindex, Township, or Area. The Search Frame makes use of a sophisticated suggestion tool, which displays availble maps which match the text you have entered into the Map Page input. It will begin showing suggestion after the first two characters entered. Learn more.

Click on the Log Out button to log out of Sidwell Maps Online and end your session.

Click on the Close button to hide the Search Frame. You can always bring the search frame back up by clicking on the search button found at the top right of the screen. The close button can also be found on the Help Frame and Options Frame.

The Search Frame will be displayed in the center of the screen whenever you first log in, and will hide itself when you retrieve a map. To display the search frame once it is hidden, click on the search button at the top right of the screen. The Help Frame and the Options Frame, when clicked, will display themselves in the center of teh screen just like the Search Frame.
