Technical Recommendations

The following is a list of recommended parameters for the Sidwell GIS hosted Mapping site.
 

• This site is best viewed in, and intended for, 1024 x 768 resolution or higher.

If your resolution is different, it can be changed.  In Windows, go to the Start > Settings > Control Panel > Display > Settings tab.  In the box labeled 'Screen Area' you can adjust the settings bar to change the resolution.  Click 'Apply' to execute the change.
 
• This site is intended for use in Microsoft Internet Explorer only.

The Sidwell GIS hosted Mapping site does not support any other browsers except Internet Explorer.  If you are using an Internet Service Provider (ISP) with its own browser (AOL for example), you should connect to the Internet via the ISP and open this site using the Internet Explorer browser.
 
• A modem speed of 30K or higher is highly recommended.

The update speed of the map screen is highly dependent upon the connection speed of your modem.
